Bachelor's Degree Pathways

Students who earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree from Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) are encouraged to explore bachelor’s degree pathways at LSSC or other Florida colleges or universities.

Academic Advisors support students in identifying prerequisite courses required for their intended bachelor's degree at LSSC or another institution and track their degree progress using the Degree Works platform. Students should meet with an LSSC Academic Advisor to create a personalized plan for their desired bachelor's degree. Students can schedule an advising appointment through their myLSSC account.
 

Lake-Sumter State College offers four bachelor's level programs:

  1. Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Leadership
  2. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Elementary Education
  3. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Exceptional Student Education
  4. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing - (RN to BSN)

Within the B.A.S. in Leadership, students have the option of six distinct concentrations: 

  1. Criminal Justice Leadership
  2. Health Services Administration
  3. Human Resource Management
  4. Project Management
  5. Sports Leadership
  6. Organizational Management

*University of Central Florida (UCF) – DirectConnect

LSSC is a proud partner of the University of Central Florida and its DirectConnect to UCF program. Through DirectConnect to UCF, Lake-Sumter State College students who complete an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or articulated Associate in Science (A.S.) degree are guaranteed admission to the University of Central Florida, in accordance with university policy.
