Educational Enhancement Youth Opportunities
Lake-Sumter State College offers youth-focused college experiences for building social, emotional, and practical college skills. Offerings include year-round workshops, virtual STEM classes, certification courses, and summer camps.

Kids’ College (Grades 1–9): An interactive summer program where students explore academic interests and creativity through a simulated college experience.

Xploration Classes (Grades 4–12): Non-credit courses and certificates. Students build proficiency in STEM, financial literacy, career exploration, pediatric CPR, and PERT exam preparation.

Leaders-in-Training Program (Grades 10–12): A leadership development program focusing on conflict resolution, time management, public speaking, and project management.

Talent Search (Grades 6–12): A federal program providing college preparatory services and mentorship for first-generation and low-income students. Enrollment is open to students at eligible schools in Lake and Sumter counties.
