Service Learning
Service learning combines community service with academic coursework, allowing students to apply what they learn to real-world challenges while developing practical skills. Through guided projects, students examine social or community issues related to their course of study and reflect on how their service connects to academic concepts.
Research shows that service learning strengthens learning outcomes, increases student engagement and retention, supports civic responsibility, and enhances career readiness.
Faculty participate by integrating service projects directly into course objectives, helping students make meaningful connections between classroom learning, community needs, and future professional goals.
