LDR-Leadership Studies

LDR 2004  Management & Leadership for Development & Design  (3 Credits )  
This course will cover managing groups and teams, simulations, exercises, negotiation, strategy, and leadership.

  
Prerequisite: C or higher in URP 2010, ARC 2142, REE 2002, and SYG 2210  
Corequisite: ARC 2143 and CGN 2005  

  
LDR 3363  Leading Teams & Group Dynamics  (3 Credits )  
Students will gain the knowledge and skills relevant to the development of teams and group dynamics in an ever-changing organizational environment. Group and team dynamic concepts and theories will serve as the foundation of this course. Students will gain strategies for leading effective, efficient, results-driven teams through application-based assignments. Prerequisite: Admission to the BAS in Leadership program and 30 credit hours completed within the program or written consent of program director.

  

  
LDR 3371  Communication for Leaders  (3 Credits )  
Students will gain the knowledge, skills, and tools to help them develop the communication acumen needed to be successful leaders. Students are expected to participate in open discussions where they will put into practice the communication skills acquired in class, including verbal and non-verbal communication skills, understanding that they will lead through their actions and words.
