Since 1980, the Lake-Sumter State College Foundation, Inc. has helped individuals, businesses, and organizations support the College’s mission of developing our community through education. 

The Lake-Sumter State College Foundation, Inc. is a direct support organization of Lake-Sumter State College and operates as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established to accept and administer private gifts on behalf of the College. Through the generosity of our investors, the LSSC Foundation, Inc. improves individuals' lives and make a significant impact in support of Lake-Sumter State College.

The Foundation awards over $1,700,000 in scholarships yearly to students attending LSSC. All LSSC students with a high school diploma or equivalency diploma and a 2.00 GPA or above are encouraged to apply. Foundation scholarships are available three times per year. For the Fall Semester, students can apply during the month of June; for the Spring Semester, the month of October, and for the Summer Semester, the month of March.
